LAURINE ANDERSON SMALL PAPERS, 1902-1975 BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE Laurine Anderson Small began working as a secretary for Herbert Hoover in London in 1910. She worked for him periodically during World War I and helped in Washington, D. C. during the 1928 campaign. She became a family friend. SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE The papers contain correspondence, statements, articles, clippings, and an account of the inauguration and a White House visit. Subjects include: mining, food relief, and the Hoover family.
